I'm going to spare you all the numerous photos Emelie took of the actual slaughtering and some that I know would send Heather Reed over the edge....but here are a few to document the memorable day of "processing" our own chickens!
Allison brought the chickens to Johnny.
Jessica hid around the corner when the birds were killed...she didn't like that part very much.

Even the older girls watched from afar at first.
But by the end of the day, they were quite involved!

It went really well and smoothly actually! We did 15 that day. There are 16 more in the pen for next week! Our freezer is going to be full!!! 
Ah, brings back such great memories. LOL My mouth is watering at the thought of those fresh birds! Looks like you all had fun. Ha ha ha....
