Snow in the forecast is such a rarity, that the stores soon sell completely out of bread and milk in these parts when the weatherman suggests the possibility of white flakes. (I'm not kidding.) I guess everyone feels that bread and milk are life's staples. LOL!
Very few southerners know how to drive in the snow, most business close down for the day, schools are cancelled, and everyone generally considers it to be extreme weather conditions..........we just decided to stay home too, and play in the snow!
We got a whole inch and a half....and the girls were loving it! They REALLY miss snow drifts and sledding. I think we'll have to visit our Michigan cousins for that!!! It lasted (without melting) for a few hours, long enough for everyone to get wet and cold, build 2 snowmen, and definitely have a proper excuse for hot chocolate!
Johnny put this little video clip together for your enjoyment!
Who woulda thunk it, huh? LOL Loved it. Glad you all had fun!
ReplyDeleteYou actually had snowpants, hats and gloves??
ReplyDeleteA year or so ago when we were going to IN for Thanksgiving, there was the mere chance of snow while we were there, so the girls made sure we scoured every thrift store, etc til we found snow clothes for everyone. Therefore, we are prepared! :) - rachel
