This may not come as any great news of importance to those of you who do not enjoy Oreo cookies as I do, but some of you will WANT TO KNOW!!!
I came to a very alarming conclusion yesterday. Whereas last year at this time, each standard package of Oreos carried 51 individual tasty little morsels.....the number has now been whittled down to a mere 45. I've seen this sort of carnage in other food packaging, but this is highway robbery!!! This means I'm 6 cookies shy of a full load!! Means that the usual 3-5 broken ones on the ends aren't free snacks any more!!!! And each one costs 5.6 cents now, instead of 4.9 cents. Sad day. What is this country coming to!???
:) LOL
(Actually, after making 400 choc-covered Oreos in the last 2 weeks, I think I can do with a few less in my regular diet! It is possible to get temporarily tired of them.)
I won't believe it until I actually count them myself. There a certain things which MUST be verifed personally. Isn't it convenient that I have to go to the grocery store now?!??

FYI - Reduced fat Oreos do not taste good. I bought them once BY ACCIDENT. I've never felt that the Oreo department was a good place to start cutting fat. :-)
