The kids loved every moment....

In April, the little ones discovered the joy of playing with flour...for hours!

Mother came to visit in May....see previous post!

Toby, Bev, and Grandma came in May....always lots of fun!

In June, the weather started to heat up enough so that day-trips to Lake Grapevine were in order.

In June we also drove out to Bowie, TX, to spend an afternoon with a new friend there. Again, the COUNTRY! :)

We spent July 4th with Heather and Clay’s family! Always fun to be with them, and the cousins all had a great time with a scavenger hunt and water balloon fights! The water balloon contest came to an end soon after Drew started implementing some "Northern Reed" guerilla tactics (ha!)....which were a little much for the younger set. :) They compensated by ganging up on him....but suffice it to say, the game ended soon thereafter......mostly because the parents all wanted to see the cousins remain friends for a long time.
Not sure where my pictures went from that....but I can’t find them. (In an effort to free up space on my phone, I erased a bunch of pictures.....more than I intended....so I lost some good ones.)
And since then we’ve been working like crazy to get this house ready for it’s next inhabitants, getting rid of clutter, and packing for our move to the country and rural living!

...and it’s been hot! Over 100 degrees now for 25 consecutive days!

Love these curls. :)
Oh, I'm way behind. Where are you moving to?
ReplyDeleteAnd that picture of her touching the fence really freaked me out for a moment. All the fences here are electric.
Hey Rachel! I've missed you! Love the pictures. One of my favorites have to be of the little one doing the dishes. =) My new email: sherry.r.morales at gmail.com
ReplyDeleteOh! Here is my blog link: http://heartjournaling.blogspot.com/ =)
ReplyDeleteI am looking at the pictures of Rough Creek and wondering, "Was it ever cold here in Texas?" That seems SO long ago that it was cool. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Savannah doing dishes in heels...lovely gams that girl! ;-)
